What does your Community mean to YOU? We must STOP, in order to START our much needed rebirth in our communities because we have been at the precipice for too long and there's no prizes for guessing WHO has sustained us and the ONE truth that the time is NOW to create communities that are decent, true, proper and fit to churn our credible men and women as leaders who will chart a course for Nationhood and just and viable communities where truth, peace and freedom will reign.
At “HUGS”, we wish you, peace to bring comfort, enough courage to face what the days ahead will unfold and loving memories to cherish and forever hold in your hearts. At all times, may you find comfort in the outpouring of love surrounding you...remember, when reason fails, pray for peace; we will be praying with you.
It’s never easy to find the right words of comfort, but the fact remains that one should say something to offer sympathy and show support to those that are grieving. It doesn't have to be long. Even a brief statement letting them know you're thinking of them during their time of grief can be comforting.
If you find yourself at a loss for words at a funeral, you are not alone. Most of us are uncomfortable in this situation. However, think before you speak so you don't say something you'll later regret.

THE CORDLESS LAND-AIR WILDLIFE SYSTEM (CLAWS) NOW IN NIGERIA – The proven solution to prevent birds from populating airport runways
With several years of successful field operating history and 100% user satisfaction, CLAWS has proven to help minimize the potential BASH (Bird Air Strike Hazard) problem airport operators face on a day-to-day basis; Claws also helps to reduce manpower requirements for this critical task. Avian Systems will install a non-lethal, radio-controlled, automated, and programmable bird-deterrent system, which will discourage birds from populating and frequenting the immediate runway environments
Birds are a serious hazard to aviation. A bird or a flock of birds that suddenly rises from a runway or surrounding area may collide with incoming or departing aircraft and cause the aircraft to crash, possibly resulting in the loss of human life. Bird collision with aircraft is commonly known as “bird strike.” Damage caused to aircraft usually results from collision of one or more birds with the engines and/or fuselage. Although most bird strikes do not result in crashes, they do involve expensive structural and mechanical damage to aircraft. The incidence of this problem worldwide makes bird strike a serious economic problem.
Birds have been a hazard to aircraft from the first powered flight. During the early days of aviation, when aircraft flew at slow speeds, birds had little difficulty in getting out of the way. Bird strikes were infrequent and damage was mainly confined to cracked windshields. The likelihood of the loss of aircraft and/or human lives was remote. With the development and introduction of jet aircraft, bird strikes became a serious hazard and costly problem. Faster speeds mean birds have less time to react to approaching aircraft. The force generated by bird impact with a fast-moving aircraft is tremendous. The newer turbine engines use lightweight, highspeed mechanical parts that are vulnerable to bird
HOW DOES CLAWS WORK?
CLAWS is designed for use as an “on-demand” system. The system is triggered only when flight operations personnel perceive a flight safety hazard due to bird activity on or around runway area(s). This assures that birds will never be frightened into the flight path when the runway is in use, and also assures that the target birds will not “learn” to ignore the frightening sounds used.
The system is based on radio-controlled activation of a series of powerful and sophisticated noise making devices. These devices are placed along each side of the runway to provide complete coverage of the runway area. The devices, completely self-contained and portable, are based on propane cannons that rotate 360 degrees every 30 seconds and fire every 12 – 20 seconds for the duration of the requested firing time.
Once in place, the system supports complete and immediate reaction to threats anywhere along the runway area. The system is designed to support multiple device firing from a single keystroke or mouse click. Activation can take place fro authorized ground personnel via hand held controllers and/or from the control tower via the software. Software (tower) users can override commands from the hand held transmitters
Although there is great belief in the effectiveness of the CLAW system for reducing the threat of bird strikes at airports, we also understand that no single approach to this problem can be successful. Only when CLAWS is used in conjunction with an effective program of habitat modification and a commitment by airfield personnel can the threat of bird strikes to aircraft be effectively minimized. The Bird Aircraft Strike Hazard (BASH) potential at any airport is a manageable hazard. Effective management of the potential hazard requires diligence and an informed approach to reduce hazardous bird/animal activity relative to airport flight operations.
True cost of bird strike
There is a clear cost for the maintenance to the airplane, but there are other costs.
Airports delays can cost the airlines many dollars. These delays could also affect the number of flights that go through the airport, thus putting a crunch on the airport budget.
Though the maximum maintenance impact is on the airplane itself, bird strike can cause a large amount of damage to the runways and surrounding areas. These areas must be reset in order to continue flight traffic, therefore also costing time.
Generally when a bird strike occurs several branches of the airport safety forces must be mobilized (flight safety, fire station, security, etc) this is a loss in labour and in time.
Finally, there is no measurable value we can put on the potential cost to human life
